Great place for Canadian diamonds. It has a single wall of display cases to focus on and not get overwhelmed by too much bling like other jewelry stores. You get a nice appraisal card, number inscription on the stone, and they come in a really nice box. They even have mining information that is quite educational and interesting.
It's been a few years but I still remember it well. I had a great experience here. Love the entire area. This is a must do on your trip to NWT and many other great spots. Not too many exhibits, and a short video, but the personal tour you get helps make this a worthwhile visit. Staff are knowledgeable about the mining industry in the NWT, and I had all of my questions on the process answered. At the end you of course get shown some diamonds but there wasnt a hard sell and they were happy to show you stuff you clearly werent going to buy, like a 7 carat stone they had! Worth a stop to learn about the primary industry in the NWT.
